ANS suspends the marketing of 19 health plans

The ban on sales begins to be valid on the 22nd; in all there are 387,894 beneficiaries protected by the measure

The National Agency for Integrative Health (ANS) today released the list of health plans that will see sales temporarily suspended due to complaints relating to welfare coverage. The measure is part of the Services Guarantee Observatory, which periodically monitors the trend of the sector and works to protect consumers. In this cycle, ANS resulted in the suspension of 19 plans of six operators due to complaints presented in the third quarter.

The ban on sales begins to come into force on the 22nd. In all, 387,894 beneficiaries are protected by the provision, as these plans can only be resold to new customers if the operators present an improvement in the monitoring result.

In addition to the suspensions, Ans also discloses the list of plans that could be marketed again. In this cycle, 46 plans from 11 operators will see their sale released from Service Assurance Monitoring.
