Another SMS scam. This time for the Tax Office

Warns CERT Polska, which deals with reacting to events that violate security on the Internet.

According to CERT, this time the fraudsters send SMS messages to Poles with information about the alleged debt in the amount of a few zlotys. It is supposed to be a debt with the Tax Office or with a mobile network operator. – In order to persuade people to submit data on a malicious website, criminals report that the case is transferred to the court in the event of failure to pay the alleged arrears within the given deadline. There is a link in the body of the message that in fact leads to a fake panel claiming to be your bank. The goal is to intercept your login details. Giving them to criminals can lead to a loss of funds – explains CERT Polska.

This is another SMS scam that Poles have recently had to deal with. We constantly call for caution.
