After the formal adoption of the decision by the Council, the Netherlands will be able to use the resources of the Reconstruction Fund worth € 4.7 billion in grants. They will support the economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic and finance the ecological and digital transformation.
The Dutch plan provides for that 48 percent. of the full amount allocated to it will support climate objectives, including investments that are expected to make a significant contribution to decarbonisation. 26 per cent of the entire amount earmarked for it, in turn, will support digital transformation. Speech in it, among others on investments in quantum technology, artificial intelligence, digital education and digital administration. Information management reforms are also planned to ensure openness and transparency of the public administration.
The Commission will disburse funds once the Member State has achieved its investment and reform objectives in its national recovery plan.
Recall that Poland has the KPO approved by the European Commission. For now, however, there are no possibilities for payment, as Brussels believes that we are not meeting the necessary “milestones”, mainly as regards the rule of law. The KPO of Hungary has not yet been approved by Brussels.
