Geneva – The Swiss tennis player Roger Federer (40) doubts his acting skills. He has now found his master in Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (39). The two shot a commercial for Switzerland Tourism.
“It was an absolute privilege for me to spend time with a global superstar like Anne Hathaway,” said Federer, according to Switzerland Tourism. He was nervous, but she gave him lots of tips. “She was also very patient with my acting skills.”
In the mini-movie, the two can be seen in a control room watching the commercial they were cast for. Federer and Hathaway (“Les Misérables”, “The Devil Wears Prada”) are stunned to discover that in the end they only appear as small dots in a grandiose landscape, for example on a glacier. The message: Even celebrities only play a supporting role in the great Swiss countryside.
Switzerland Tourism wants to build on a successful commercial with Federer and US actor Robert De Niro from 2021. Switzerland Tourism reports that the funny exchange of blows between the two has been viewed more than 100 million times.
