Alejandro Balde It is doubtful for next Sunday’s match against Villarreal: the Spanish international suffers from ankle discomfort, caused by a bad gesture in the morning training session this Friday, and may not travel to the city of Castellón to play the third day of the League.
Balde was a starter in the first two days, against Getafe and Cádiz, and also aimed to be in Villarreal.
For this reason, and in anticipation that the Barcelona player cannot play due to his discomfort, the club has changed the strategy when it comes to registering players who have not yet been able to be registered in LaLiga.
The renewal of Ter Stegen -with its salary deferral- allows the club to have more financial ‘fair play’ margin and therefore, space to register players: Barça’s initial idea was to register Iñaki Peña as second goalkeeper as soon as possible.
However, and given the possibility that the first team will be left without left-backs if Balde is out, the club will try to give priority to the registration of another player who has not yet been able to participate this season, Mark Alonso.
Barça is confident that the man from Madrid can be registered in time to play for Villarreal.
