Daniel Carlos Lorenzo Santos, was born in Pobra do Caramiñal (A Coruña), on April 11, 1963. Ordained priest on May 20, 1995. He has a degree in Law from the USC and UNED, in Theology from the Compostelano Theological Institute and in Canon Law from the UPSA.

He has carried out his ministry in the Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Court of Santiago since 1998, serving as Promoter of Justice, Defender of the Bond and Diocesan Judge; In 2004 he was appointed Deputy Judicial Vicar; assuming, in 2006, the Presidency of the Court as Judicial Vicar. Between 1999 and 2004 he was Judicial Vicar of the diocese of Lugo. He has been a professor of Canon Law at the Compostela Theological Institute since 2000 and was a professor at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of Santiago.

He is a member of the Spanish Association of Canonists. He participated as a speaker in conferences and conferences in this area of ​​knowledge and on the conservation and protection of the cultural heritage of the Church and its management.
