Hagia Sophia The works at the Mosque for 24 July are in full swing. The museum sign of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, located right at the entrance of the Hagia Sophia Mosque, was dismantled this morning as part of the restoration works. While the sign remains empty, the security forces’ extensive security measures continue. Entries and exits are not allowed before July 24.

Istanbul Police Chief Zafer Aktaş also came and made investigations. Aktaş said, “We came here for Hagia Sophia measures and activities related to July 15. Next, we visit here to examine and evaluate the measures taken in Hagia Sophia on site. Hopefully, we will take additional measures to check and see our measures regarding the opening on July 24. I hope we will make them worship peace, “he said.
