In the Toulouse academy, the figures linked to the coronavirus remain low. However, an increase in the number of cases cannot be excluded in the coming days. Here are the latest numbers.
The coronavirus is still present in Toulouse schools. During its last weekly update, the Toulouse academy reports more than 64 new cases of Covid confirmed in the last 24 hours. This figure relates only to pupils. Over the last seven days, there have been 317 new cases of coronavirus. A worrying figure, but which remains small according to the total number of students in the Academy which is 317. In other words, only 0.05% of students are positive for the virus.
With regard to the personnel, the ratio is a little higher. It is 0.08%. In all, there are 45 staff members infected. In the past 24 hours, 10 of them contracted the virus.
Despite these figures, the education of all students is not really impacted. Throughout the Toulouse academy, there are 2 closed classes out of 31,380, or 0.006%. These classes are located in Haute-Garonne and Hautes-Pyrénées. There is also a closed school structure out of 3,093. A school located in the Gers.
