An escaped exotic pet is terrorizing the townspeople

Amanda Marie had a big scare when her pet escaped from her home during a storm. However, people who encountered the exotic pet on the city streets experienced a much bigger scare, reports UPI.

According to the media, an alligator escaped from the yard of a residential house during a storm in Missouri.

The owner of the alligator, Amanda, reveals that her pet named Zurich escaped from her enclosure last Saturday, July 25th.

Currently, the police report that the alligator has been successfully found and that it no longer threatens the safety of other people or animals.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department announced that the alligator was successfully captured as early as Sunday and turned over to St. Louis Animal Services.

As Amanda explains, her alligator is very small. Its length reaches only 0.77 meters. According to the animal’s owner, her alligator did not threaten anyone. It could only attack animals that are very small, smaller than rodents.

It turns out that people living in the US state of Missouri can keep and not register such an exotic pet as an alligator, if they are not longer than 2.4 meters. Although the state of Missouri has such a law, the city where Amanda lives (St. Louis) prohibits the keeping of reptiles.
