Is there a second Earth? The NASA just discovered an exoplanet with characteristics
Earth-like. Its name: Kepler-1649c. It is located 300 light years from our planet and is only 1.06 times larger than Earth. Kepler-1649c receives 75% of the amount of light that
Earth receives from the Sun. Its temperature would therefore be similar to that of our planet. In addition, it would be in the habitable zone of its solar system and could support liquid water.
But scientists remain cautious as Kepler-1649c orbits a red dwarf star that can be prone to frequent eruptions. However, this is a big step forward in the search for worlds with potentially habitable conditions.
