Razer jumps on the AMD bandwagon

On The E3 exhibition, which, like almost everything else this year, is virtual, Razer has announced that one of their most popular machines, the Razer Blade 14, is returning.

Although the name is well known, the inside is of course completely renewed. And the processor is a debut for Razer, which for the first time uses an AMD processor, namely an eight-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX.

The graphics card in the new Razer Blade 14 is (up to) Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. And the screen can, depending on the configuration, be up to a QHD 165Hz.

“Original Blade 14 revolutionized the mobile gaming landscape and brought us to where we are today”, says Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President, at the launch at E3.

The launch at E3 comes as an extension of the models which was presented at the virtual CES trade fair earlier this year. But the 14-inch format is new. And also the choice of AMD.

Price and availability

The brand new Razer Blade 14 starts at 2,000 euros (just over 20,000 kronor) and can be purchased now.
