An angry Prince Harry threatens BBC lawyers

Almost immediately after Harry and Meghan announced that their daughter would be named Lilibet Diana, there was an immediate debate over how appropriate it was to name the daughter Queen Elizabeth’s nickname and whether the British queen had given permission.

The British BBC subsequently added fuel to the fire, stating that it had not previously consulted the royal family on the naming of its daughter. Harry denied the BBC report and, according to sources in The Daily Mail, threatened further legal action through Shillings.

“The duke spoke to his family before the official announcement. His grandmother was, in fact, the first to call, “the statement said. “During this conversation, he expressed the hope that he could name his daughter Lilibet in honor of the queen. If she did not support it, he would never use this name, “the statement said.

The BBC subsequently revised its report, but still states that the queen has not been asked to consent to the naming of the newborn. The remarks of Harry’s lawyers and BBC sources raise questions as to whether the Queen was simply faced with the matter.

Harry has fallen for the BBC

Fans of the royal family split into two camps. One thing bothers is that Prince Harry used the family nickname, which was popularly used by the Queen’s recently deceased husband Phillip and is very personal to the queen. That’s why, according to them, Harry should have asked permission in advance.

Others advocate for princes, arguing that the couple did not need the consent of anyone else to name their child.

The British press also recalls Prince Harry and William’s heated relationship with the BBC after an independent investigation revealed that journalist Martin Bashir had committed fraud, including lies and the use of forged documents, to persuade Princess Diana. Prince Harry said that it was because of this explosive conversation that his mother had lost her life.
