50 years, it’s starting to do a lot for a club often seen as a “youngster” by the oldest French football institutions. Born in 1970 from the merger between Stade Saint-Germain and PFC, PSG is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in this year 2020. Having become one of the major clubs on the French and European scene, Paris Saint-Germain intends do it big to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary.
As the culmination of the celebrations, PSG wants to organize an All Star Game bringing together the biggest legends of the club and current players. A match which should take place on August 29 at the Parc des Princes. All former PSG players and coaches have been invited by the Paris club. A match will take place with current and former players who are in physical condition to play. Parisian President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who is very attached to the history of the Parisian club, has sensitized all of the club’s teams to make this year a memorable one.
In addition to this event, PSG will organize a concert at the Parc des Princes by French artist Dadju, a film retracing 50 years of the club’s history but also many events within the Parisian precinct.
