An accident on the S8. The trucks crushed a passenger car. One person is dead

The first reports mentioned the collision of as many as six trucks.

The accident took place on the S8 route between ul. Łabiszyńska and Głębocka.

The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways confirmed that one person was killed in the accident. The services do not yet provide official information on the condition of other victims.

The force of the truck’s impact caused the passenger car to be completely crushed. Firefighters are trying to get to the wreckage of this vehicle.

– Passenger car is crushed like a harmonica. Firefighters have to use specialized equipment to get to the driver – reports Mateusz Szmelter from TVN24.

There are major difficulties on the S8 Route. The route towards Bemowo is impassable. Police stopped inrun traffic from the Marki junction; the difficulties may take several hours – informed the Warsaw Police Headquarters.

“At the Marki junction, the inrun traffic on the S8 route towards Poznań has been suspended. The difficulties may take several hours. The services direct the traffic allowing the exit of vehicles already on the route” – you can read

After an accident on the S8 route, the police are checking the braking distance of vehicles, the Warsaw Police Headquarters informed on Tuesday. As noted in the accident, the driver of the Toyota was killed.

“At the site of the tragic accident on the S8 route, visual inspections are already underway. One of the elements examined by the police is the braking distance of individual vehicles. Unfortunately, the Toyota driver died in a road accident” – wrote the Warsaw Police Headquarters on Twitter.
