El-Gouna player, Amr Barakat, confirmed that he was proud of the time he spent inside Al-Ahly, noting that he had not had the full opportunity to prove himself.
Barakat said in statements to the match program via Sada Al-Balad channel, that there was no problem between him and Hosam Al-Badri, Al-Ahly’s coach, at the time, which caused him not to participate continuously with the team.
On his question, is there a problem with Al-Badri, he replied: “There is no problem, ask the coach, and for me there are no problems with him.”
He added: “I was asking him about my non-participation, and was this because of a situation or a problem, and he always tells me that there are no problems with him, and I have to wait for the opportunity to basically be with Al-Ahly.”
He explained that the waiting period for the opportunity, as Badri was saying to decide, was to leave the club in order to obtain his right to exist as a primary with another team.
He concluded: “My departure to Smouha came when Al-Ahly decided to sign Yasser Ibrahim in the defense line, so Al-Ahly pressured me to move to the Alexandrian team to facilitate the completion of the Ibrahim deal.”
