Traffic has resumed regularly on the RN1, this important road that connects Kinshasa to the provinces of the former Bandundu, but concern is still strong.

Investigation in progress
In total, police recovered more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition from the three abandoned crates. There were also three explosives and cartridges. Where do these explosives and ammunition come from? Who do they belong to? Some sources refer to the attackers who came from Kwamouthbut the police are cautious and say an investigation is ongoing.
The population does not hide its concern. Jeannine is a saleswoman in Menkao. “ Last time, they discovered the ammunition. We saw and we were afraid. For its part, the police announces that it will deploy new units in this area in the coming days.
