American reality series wants to send contestant to space for the first time | NOW

An American production company wants to send a participant of a new reality series to space in 2023. The production house Space Hero Inc. has already secured a seat for a mission to the space station ISS. The series thus becomes the first reality series to be made in space.

To the series, which is not scripted and Space Hero will be called, only people with a preference for space exploration will participate. They will go through a series of physical and emotional workouts to match astronaut training. The person who receives the most votes from the public during a worldwide live broadcast will be allowed to go into space in 2023.

The winner will spend ten days on the space station ISS with professional astronauts. It also makes sixteen orbits per day around the earth at speeds of over 27,000 kilometers per hour.

“We see the world change before our eyes. In times like these we long for heroes. Our participants will inspire a generation,” said Thomas Reemer, owner of production house Space Hero Inc. and creator of the reality series.

In May, the first commercial astronaut capsule docked at the space station. This involved a rocket from space company SpaceX, which is also the partner of the reality series.
