On Monday, the American actor Angus Cloud, best known for his role in the series “Euphoria”, passed away at the age of 25, according to his family.
The cause of his death has not been announced yet.
Cloud played drug dealer Fizco O’Neil (“Fiz”) in the HBO-produced series, which won a number of Emmy Awards.
“Our only consolation is knowing that Angus is with his father, who was his best friend,” his family said in a statement published by his media official.
The statement referred to Claude’s recent suffering due to his father’s death, in addition to his psychological problems. His family explained that he “was speaking openly about his battle with his mental illness,” adding, “We hope that his death serves as a warning to others that they are not alone, nor should they face the disease alone.”
One of HBO’s most successful series, Euphoria deals with the bleak lives of contemporary American teens whose lives include drug addiction and sexual violence.
The series allowed Angus to play his first acting role, as a director chose him to participate in this work when he was strolling with his friends in the streets of Brooklyn, New York.
