AMD Radeon Software Gets Privacy View Feature That Works With Eye Tracking – Computer – News

AMD will provide its Adrenalin software for Radeon graphics cards with a feature called Privacy View. It works with head and eye tracking from the company Eyeware to darken the screen in places the user is not looking at.

Privacy View is intended for laptops and works with the webcam. It follows the eyes and head of the user and adjusts what is displayed on the image. Users only see the part of the image they focus on, according to the promotional video.

AMD is collaborating with Eyeware from Switzerland for the position. that company writes on his site that there will be several options for fading or dimming the screen outside the field of view. The feature should be available in the first quarter of this year.

Manufacturers such as HP and Lenovo already make laptops and monitors with a hardwarematig privacyscherm. Those screens have an option to greatly restrict the viewing angle at the push of a button. As a result, the image can only be read properly for users who sit directly in front of the screen.

AMD briefly mentioned the Privacy View feature during its CES presentation last week, but has now shared a little more information about it in a teaser video highlighting new features from the Radeon Adrenalin Software.

The new version of AMD’s Radeon Adrenalin software will also Radeon Super Resolution to add. This image scaling technique is a variation of FidelityFX Super Resolution, which works with almost all games and does not need to be implemented specifically in one game.
