Barely unveiled, Intel Arc 3 chips are already proving AMD to be far weaker than its own solution.
We’ve known since last year that the battle in the graphics accelerator market will intensify this year as Intel enters the game to demand a slice of the cake conveniently split between Nvidia and AMD.
The blues recently unveiled it their Arc 3, Arc 5 and Arc 7 chips for laptopsand AMD is already boasting that the rookie ‘s rival technology is untrue.
The manufacturer shared a benchmark test on Twitter in which 5 games were passed to each other at 1080p on the Intel A370M and AMD Radeon 6500M mobile GPUs. According to the figure, solving the reds has a huge advantage in all titles: 28 in Hitman 3, 42 in Total War Saga: 72 in F21 2021, 19 in Strange Brigade, and 28 in Final Fantasy XIV. beating fps on the Arc chip.

While this is undoubtedly good for AMD, it would be premature to bury Arc Alchemist GPUs. On the one hand, the post does not reveal the configuration of the laptops in which the two chips were used, and on the other hand, the Intel driver is still completely fresh, ie there may be plenty of lines of code waiting to be optimized.
The key lesson from AMD’s benchmark, then, is that the three-man war in the GPU market could be even more fierce than expected if the Reds deployed artillery so quickly. However, the show will only really get rougher if Intel shows off its dedicated video cards, which is currently scheduled to be due sometime this summer.
