AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution will also target the Microsoft Xbox console

A few days ago the company AMD has announced that it will introduce new technology FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). That should be competition Nvidia DLSS, however, unlike the Nvidia solution, FidelityFX is not tied to specific hardware, does not contain artificial intelligence, does not need training, and is an open source that also supports the DirectX 12/11 and Vulkan APIs. It will also run on older GPUs (Radeon RX5000, RX500, Vega including eg GeForce GTX), it will also be possible to use it on APU Ryzen with integrated GPU Radeon. Of course, the question will be the quality of the image and the resulting performance, in any case, it is a solution that he has already expressed interest in Intel, and the latest information says that we will see this technology in game consoles as well.

A Microsoft spokesman told the IGN server in an interview. He admitted that they intend to support FidelityFX at Xbox, which he says is a great method to increase resolution and frame rate. We will find out more details later. Whether it will also appear on the Sony PlayStation 5 console (which is not hindered, it also has a modern GPU with RDNA2) is still an unanswered question.
