Ambulance Car Containing 7 Travelers Netted at the Cikarang Toll Gate

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A car ambulance contains seven people travelers netted a police operation at the Cikarang Toll Gate, Bekasi, West Java, Friday (7/5/2021).

“There was an ambulance who cheated. This is one of the modus operandi. This is because there is an exception for ambulances,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, Friday.

The travelers in the ambulance want to go to Subang, West Java. One of them admitted that his parents died in Subang. However that person was unable to pinpoint any evidence.

“But when asked about the requirements, including this antigen swab, he could not show it. After checking it turned out to be used as a mode for going home even though the requirements were not in accordance with the rules,” said Yusri.

Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya has prepared 31 security posts consisting of 17 check point and 14 isolation sites. There are 1,313 personnel deployed at the point check point and insulation to prevent Lebaran 2021 homecomers.

Officer on duty at 17 check point will enforce protokol health and initial filtering homecoming vehicles. Meanwhile, the officers guarding the 14 isolation points will enforce the health protocol, check the entry and exit permit (SIKM), and overturn the vehicles of travelers who do not have SIKM in their pocket.
