In the conditions of the spread of Covid-19, politicians should not play with public health with their statements, after the meeting of the coalition parties, the national association “Everything for Latvia!” – “For Fatherland and Freedom” / LNNK leader Raivis Dzintars emphasized.

“Unfortunately, we see that the spread of Covid-19 is being used for political purposes in a way that would be called marauderism in other crises,” said Dzintars. According to him, the public is deliberately divided on the issue of wearing masks, but the less policy there will be on these issues, the better, the politician stressed.

Asked what is being talked about directly in the context of Marauderism, the leader of the national association stated that he did not want to advertise any political official. At the same time, he pointed out that if a politically active person with a large number of followers initially calls not to take to the streets without a mask, but after a while the same person calls masks and a political ideology is made on this issue, then it is a disaster. at the expense of.

Dzintars admitted that the government, for its part, needs to explain its decisions more broadly, because questions arise, for example, about restrictions on sports activities, while it is allowed to gather in bars.
