The next round between Johnny Depp (57) and Amber Heard (34) before a London court was due yesterday. The defamation lawsuit is about whether the newspaper “The Sun” could call him a “woman thug”.
–
In this case, Depp and Heard don’t give themselves anything. Heard submitted photos to the court showing her face injuries. Isaac Baruch, a friend of the actor, now opposes it and says the photos are fake. Baruch lived in Los Angeles in the same penthouse as the former couple.
–
The photos at stake show Heard’s face with bright red spots on the cheek. Baruch says he saw Heard after the alleged attack. He couldn’t see any redness on her face. Depp’s lawyers say that the photos were modified using an image editing program – as were other photos that were submitted.

Lawyer Says Depp’s Friend’s Statement Is “Untrustworthy”
The “Sun” lawyer opposed this. She says Baruch’s statement is untrustworthy because he is financially dependent on Depp. The latter granted him free accommodation worth tens of thousands of dollars a year. In addition, Baruch could not prove that Heard had covered the redness with makeup.
–
There is also an audio recording in which Heard tells one of her employees that she concealed the injury in public. However, Baruch remains with his testimony. Heard will testify for the first time on Monday. (paf)

Even though the three-week trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is like a big settlement, the reasons for the lawsuit are different: Johnny Depp sued the British newspaper “The Sun” after it was dubbed him “woman thug”. The newspaper’s statement referred to an article in which Heard claimed to have experienced violence in their relationship without naming her ex-husband. Therefore, the judge decided that the actress must also participate in the trial. Depp’s ex-partners Vanessa Paradis (47) and Winona Ryder (48) are also said to have to testify via video to clarify whether the newspaper’s statement is a defamation.
