Amazon ceases further development of multiplayer shooter Crucible – Gaming – News

Crucible, a multiplayer shooter developed by Amazon Games, will not be released anyway. Despite the fact that a closed beta was started in July to improve the game, according to Amazon, this has not led to the desired result.

The developer has that on the Crucible website announced. The decision was made after several improvements have been made to the game in recent months, but it did not lead to positive feedback from the beta participants. According to Amazon, there is therefore no future for the game, and the plug is pulled.

The development of Crucible suffered some setbacks. For example, it was decided in July to withdraw the game and to be replaced by a closed beta. Amazon decided to do so after players shortly after the release criticized the quality of the game in May. It now appears that the past months have not resulted in any improvement.

The team that developed Crucible will be removed from the project and will develop other games within Amazon Games. Players who have spent money on Crucible will get their money back.
