After refusing to sign at PSG despite numerous attempts from his training club, Tanguy Kouassi has initialed his first professional contract of four years with Bayern Munich. After a first reaction on the official website of the Bavarian club, the central defender converted midfielder this season was present to journalists on Wednesday to speak about his transfer to Bavaria.
The 18-year-old particularly wanted to pay tribute to his former PSG coach, Thomas Tuchel, who trusted him 13 times this season in all competitions: “I had a good relationship with this coach, I am very grateful to him but I made the choice to change. I had to discover something else ”. A few days earlier, the German technician had confided to the press that he did not understand the departure of Kouassi to Bayern Munich.
Tanguy Kouassi also explained that the large number of French players established in the German club had impacted his decision, before detailing the motivations of his choice: “I chose Bayern Munich because it was a very good choice for me. I want to go forward, progress individually. The young players who played at Bayern this year can be an example for me. Of course, I hope to take a path like this ”.
