Alternative financing: EstateGuru starts in Germany

Fast financing for small and medium-sized companies and at the same time investments secured by real estate for investors – this is what the Estate-Guru platform now wants to offer in Germany as well. Investors can invest in projects from eight countries from 50 euros.

EstateGuru is the European market leader in alternative finance. The Estonian FinTech has now also opened a branch in Germany. The EstateGuru platform provides small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with bridging and business loans as well as financing for real estate project development. Private and institutional investors can invest in these loans through EstateGuru. The minimum investment is 50 euros. The historical average interest rate on the loans is 11% annually.

Projects available from eight countries

Currently are under www.estateguru.co Projects offered from eight countries, including Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Germany. All loans are first-rate secured with real estate. In return, companies should receive quick loan commitments and flexible terms for their projects. EstateGuru was founded in Estonia in 2013 and is growing dynamically. As of November 16, 2020, the platform has granted more than 263 million euros as a loan to SMEs and paid out over 20 million euros in interest to its more than 64,000 investors. According to EstateGuru, an average of three new offers are added every day. The loan amounts are between 25,000 and 5 million euros with a term of between 6 and 24 months.

Part of the European growth strategy

The launch of EstateGuru in Germany is part of the European growth strategy. FinTech wants to increase the annual financing volume to 5 billion euros by 2025. “The opening of a German branch is the next logical step on our way. We think the market is very promising and in February 2020 we financed a first project in Germany. And already today we have over 19,000 German investors on our platform, that is the largest group in Europe, ”says Marek Pärtel, co-founder and CEO of EstateGuru. With an office in Berlin EstateGuru wants to decisively shape the alternative financing industry and become the first choice for borrowers and investors in Germany.

Varengold Bank takes care of the regulation

The regulatory umbrella for loan brokerage via EstateGuru in Germany will come from Varengold Bank. EstateGuru and Varengold Bank have signed a term sheet for a fronting service contract with which EstateGuru can then offer all services in Germany. (mh)
