Düsseldorf The city of Düsseldorf is changing its statistics and is now also publishing the number of vaccinations by general practitioners on a daily basis. Things are progressing rapidly there, as the first figures show.

In just over a month, the resident doctors in Düsseldorf had more than 56,000 vaccinations. So it is better to post more than just the numbers from the vaccination center at the arena. That is why the city is changing its statistics and is now publishing all corona vaccinations carried out in Düsseldorf by the vaccination center and general practitioners’ practices.

The vaccination center has been in operation since December 27th. Since April 6, vaccinations have also been carried out through general practitioners’ practices. By Sunday, a total of 276,149 vaccinations had been carried out in Düsseldorf, 220,139 of them by the vaccination center and 56,010 by resident doctors, of which there are around 1100 in Düsseldorf.

Since March 3, 2020, a total of 23,734 (+72) Düsseldorf residents have been diagnosed with the coronavirus. According to the information provided by the State Center for Health in North Rhine-Westphalia (LZG), around 1,300 people are currently infected in Düsseldorf.

146 of them are being treated in hospitals, 62 of them in intensive care units. Around 22,000 people have now recovered. 391 people who suffered from Covid-19 have died in Düsseldorf so far.

The so-called 7-day incidence in the state capital is currently 113.0 (previous day: 107.6). This value indicates the number of infections that have become known in the last seven days per 100,000 inhabitants.

The first point of contact for acute illnesses – including a possible corona infection – is always the family doctor. If there is a suspicion of an infection with the coronavirus, a test will be carried out in the practice or you will be referred to the municipal information phone. This is also available for general questions and can be reached Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 0211 89-96090 (fax for the hearing impaired: 0211 89-35674).
