Beyond the mere presentation of historical facts, the documentary series “Geschichte ist Zukunft” takes a new approach to conveying history: With the help of experts, the musician and presenter David Mayonga as a quick-witted narrator, and the historian Sonja Herzl, the films look at different areas of history and analyze parallels between the past and now. The opening broadcast deals with propaganda under National Socialism.
