In the alpha version of Lichenvale, there will be two levels and new tutorials that will allow you to master the basics of close combat. After completing the second level, all progress will be saved, so that you can continue your adventures over time from the same place.
Countryman began his career as a game designer in Ubisoft, but then decided to switch to an independent model. He’s a big fan of classic first-person shooters like Witches, Heretic, Doom, Blood and Strife… And his debut game is inspired by these projects.
The heroine of Lichenvale is a young woman who has fallen into the trap of her own nightmares. She needs to get through the labyrinths of darkness, using hand-to-hand combat, spells and evasions. The release version is planned to have a story campaign with a dozen more difficult levels, bosses and small puzzles, as well as a “New Game +” mode.
