On Wednesday, “Alone at Home” actor Devin Ratray was arrested, accused of strangling his girlfriend.
The actor is known both from “Alone at Home” and the sequel “Alone at Home 2”, where he plays the character “Buzz” – the big brother of the main character Kevin McCallister.
On Wednesday, he was arrested in the city of Oklahoma, accused of strangling his girlfriend in early December.
A representative of the Oklahoma Police Department confirms to Fox News that the 44-year-old reported himself to the police, before he was released on bail of 25,000 dollars.
The acts of violence he is accused of having committed are said to have taken place in early December. At the time, Ratray and his girlfriend were at the OKC Pop Christmas Convention in Oklahoma and the actor was one of the highlights, according to Deadline.
Arguing about autograph
According to several American media, the couple started arguing at a bar after Ratray’s girlfriend gave away autograph cards to two fans without demanding money for them.
Later, the quarrel continued in the couple’s hotel room and ended with Ratray strangling his girlfriend and beating her.
According to Fox News Ratray’s girlfriend is said to have told authorities that her boyfriend had ten shots of alcohol in addition to a bottle of wine before the quarrel started.
It’s the local news channel KFOR who has been given access to the report describing the course of events. According to the report, the girlfriend must have had several bruises both under one eye, on the upper side of the lip and on the arm after the acts of violence.
It is currently unclear how Ratray will respond to the allegations.
Although he is best known from the “Alone at Home” films, Ratray has also had roles in many films and series as an adult – including the series “Law & Order”, “Russian Doll” and the film “Hustlers”.
