Almost a million sales; Developer expectations were exceeded

SnowRunner sold better than expected after the launch on April 28, 2020. The off-road simulation by Saber Interactive, Focus Home Interactive and astragon Entertainment broke almost the one million mark in the first three weeks, the executive board of the Embracer Group revealed in the presentation of the business figures. Saber Interactive has been part of the group of companies that was formerly known as THQ Nordic AB since February 2020. It also means that a surprising number of Premium Editions (with the Season Pass) were purchased by buyers. Management expectations of both Saber Interactive and Embracer were also exceeded in this area. The share of sales on PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is roughly the same (i.e. one third each). The predecessor (MudRunner) had sold more than two million copies worldwide.

The upcoming Season Pass content will be delivered in four phases, each with its own theme and new region: Search and Recover, Explore and Expand, and Locate and Deliver. . The fourth phase brings an “extensive game expansion”. With every update, new vehicles are added and new areas can be explored, for example, the icy north of Canada. New areas in Russia and Wisconsin are expected to follow later. Players who do not have the Season Pass or the Premium Edition of the game should be provided with free content (new activities, more extreme loads, skins, challenges, etc.) in the coming months. In addition, modding support (on PC) is to be expanded and new types of missions added – such as the search for the wreckage of a missing plane from World War II.
