The number of newly counted corona cases has increased by 3949 in the past 24 hours, according to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). The day before, there were a lot less with 3370.

Last week, RIVM counted an average of 3679 new confirmed infections per day. On Monday, the daily average of the past week was lower, at 3527.
Last 24 hours, RIVM registered 13 new deaths as a result of the virus. Those people do not necessarily have to have died in the past 24 hours, because it sometimes takes a while before a death from corona is registered.
149 new infections were confirmed in Amsterdam, 115 in Rotterdam. The Hague is at 85 on Tuesday, Utrecht at 72. This is followed by Apeldoorn, with 65 new cases.
