EAn alleged pool of blood triggered a police operation with several patrol cars, sniffer dogs and a helicopter in north-east Hamburg. A walker had previously found the red spot in the Volksdorf forest on Monday evening and immediately alerted the police, as a police spokesman said on Tuesday in Hamburg.
After a short time, however, the first all-clear could be given: “We also used dogs that react to blood. But they don’t have it,” said the police spokesman. It is therefore neither human nor animal blood. “It’s a red liquid. Of course we also took a sample and it is now being analyzed.” The results of the evaluation were not yet available.
The operation was shut down again after the dogs had not been attacked. Whether a crime – such as faking a crime – has been committed is now being examined. The “Hamburger Abendbatt” had previously reported.
