Affected in turn by an allegation of sexual assault on social networks, the singer Éric Lapointe “categorically denies the actions alleged against him on the Facebook page Hyenas in petticoats”.
As his former manager and the current leader of the Bloc Québécois, Yves-François Blanchet, also accused on the same page of an assault, had done on Wednesday, the singer invited “people who have been assaulted to file a complaint with the police ”, in a message posted on his Facebook page, Thursday morning.
The denunciation appeared online late Wednesday evening and comes from a woman who says she suffered the assaults of the singer during the filming of a video clip in which she was hired as an extras, ten years ago.
Éric Lapointe, who is currently facing criminal charges of assault in connection with an alleged episode of domestic violence, indicated that he will not make any other comments.
The singer had abandoned his coach chair on the show The voice, as well as his appointments to the Gala de l’ADISQ, when he was indicted, in October 2019.
For the moment, neither his record company Instinct Musique nor the public relations company that represents him have reacted to the publication.
