With great luck, around 100 people survived the crash landing of an airplane in the city of Ussinsk in northwestern Russia. The Boeing 737 hit the ground on Sunday due to an unknown cause and slid off the icy runway, as authorities in the Komi Republic announced. Nobody was killed or seriously injured.

In dramatic video recordings, passengers showed internal destruction – and how they climbed out of wings and jumped onto the floor. The damage to the aircraft was immense, it said. According to the agency Interfax, the airline Utair named a gust of wind as a possible cause of the hard landing.
