iPhone 2020 line-up: these are the devices

Apple will release no less than five models of the iPhone this year. In addition to the already available iPhone SE 2020 the iPhone 12 series consists of another four new models. It concerns two high-end models (iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max) and two cheaper entry-level models (iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12). The two high-end models are the successors to the iPhone 11 Pro in iPhone 11 Pro Max and the two entry-level models are the successor and a smaller version of the iPhone 11. But there is more, because Apple also keeps some devices from last year in the range. This is the complete iPhone 2020 line-up.

iPhone 12 – 6,1-inch
Of iPhone 12 is the latest 6.1-inch iPhone. This model is the direct successor of the iPhone 11. This one new iPhone has a Super Retina XDR OLED display made of Ceramic Shield glass. The housing is made of aluminum and Apple has applied a new design. The edges are flat, similar to the iPad Pro. The iPhone 12 is available in five colors (black, white, red, green and blue) and from 64GB to 256GB. The model also offers support for 5G in the Netherlands. The iPhone 12 is available from €909, with a release on October 23.

iPhone 12 mini – 5,4-inch
Of iPhone 12 mini is the smallest of all new iPhones. The iPhone 12 mini has a 5.4-inch display. This screen is also a Super Retina XDR YOU AREdisplay. The iPhone 12 mini also has the same specifications as the regular one iPhone 12, but in a smaller, more compact format. The size of the iPhone 12 mini is even smaller than the iPhone SE 2020, but with a larger screen. The iPhone 12 mini cost €809. The device can be ordered from November 6, with a release from November 13.

iPhone 12 Pro – 6,1-inch
The first Pro model is the iPhone 12 Pro. It is the direct successor to the iPhone 11 Pro and has the same new design as the regular iPhone 12, but with a stainless steel housing. In terms of colors you can choose between graphite, silver, gold and ocean blue. The iPhone 12 Pro works with 5G in the Netherlands and has an improved camera with LiDAR Scanner. The camera can now record videos in HDR in high 4K resolution. The screen edges are also slightly thinner, and the display itself is Ceramic Shield, which is more resistant to scratches and damage. The A14 chip provides better performance compared to the previous generation. The iPhone 12 Pro comes standard with 128GB and is available from €1.159,-. The first delivery will take place on October 23, 2020.

iPhone 12 Pro Max – 6,7-inch
The largest iPhone of the entire 2020 line-up is the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This model has a 6.7-inch display, making it a fraction larger than the iPhone 11 Pro Max from last year. The iPhone 12 Pro Max also has the same specifications of the iPhone 12 Pro, but in the field of camera there are some differences. The iPhone 12 Pro Max has five times optical zoom, further digital zoom and also better optical image stabilization with sensor shift. The iPhone 12 Pro Max will be released on November 13 from €1.259,-.

iPhone SE 2020 – 4,7-inch
The iPhone SE 2020 is the most affordable iPhone of the entire 2020 line-up. The iPhone SE 2020 still has a traditional design with a home button. As a result, the screen edges are also a lot wider at both the top and bottom. The iPhone SE 2020 has Touch ID and a single camera with support for portrait mode. iPhone 11 – 6,1-inch
