Ammar Belhimer, Minister of Communication for the Algerian government, said today, Thursday, that Algerian Health Minister Abdel Rahman bin Bouzid and several Arab health ministers met with the Chinese Minister of Health, who called on Arab countries to use chloroquine to treat people infected with the Corona virus.
Belhimer added – in a statement today (Thursday) – that the Chinese minister said that the drug should be used for 7 full days, and stressed that this experiment proved successful in containing the situation in China and treating many of the injured.
He pointed out that the Chinese minister talked about the causes of the spread of the Coruna virus and its spread in his country, before the situation was contained, as he said that the spread of the virus was the result of the delay in taking preventive measures.
It is noteworthy that the last toll announced by the Algerian authorities yesterday included 302 cases of Corona virus and 21 deaths.
