Alexandrina Pendachanska leaves the public council of the Bulgarian National Radio because of Volgin

Our famous opera soprano Alexandrina Pendachaska announced publicly on her Facebook profile that she is leaving the Public Council of the Bulgarian National Radio. The reason is a series of broadcasts by Petar Volgin and especially the last one, in which the leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadin Kostadinov is a guest (the broadcast was on Sunday, April 10 – b.a.). Pendachanska became a member of the board under former Director General Andon Baltakov.

After a series of letters exchanged between you and the Public Council and after the last edition of “Politically Incorrect”, I unfortunately find that there is no real result of our insistence on disinformation and propaganda in the programs hosted by Peter Volgin to be stopped. Through the comments and guests he has invited for years, his broadcasts have become a channel for disinformation and fake news, openly pro-Putin, anti-European and anti-Euro-Atlantic propaganda, contrary to the public interest and mission. In the conditions of the war started by the Russian aggression and taking place a few hundred kilometers from the borders of Bulgaria, this is especially worrying. associated with the media, which in the person of Peter Volgin is associated with the most vicious, anti-democratic and propaganda practices of the country – the aggressor and the criminal regime of its president, Vladimir Putin “, Pendachanska wrote to the head of the Bulgarian National Radio Milen Mitev.

The other members of the Public Council are Milen Vrabevski, Chairman, Svetla Petrova, Petko Durmana, Petko Georgiev, Prof. Snezhana Popova, Stefan Komandarev.

The unofficial position of the Bulgarian National Radio is that Volgin’s broadcasts should exist because of the other point of view.
