For the first day of its Summer of Gaming event, IGN promised “the return of a classic”. Finally, there is talk of Alex Kidd in Miracle World, cult game of the Master System released in 1986, which will return in a “DX” version on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The publisher and distributor Merge games is associated here with a studio named Jankenteam. Planned for the first quarter of 2021, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX will update all the content of the first game in the Alex Kidd saga with a graphic overhaul, remastered music and some new features: new levels, alternative boss fights or additional game modes, including a Boss Rush and a Classic mode to browse the game as it was originally, knowing that a single button press in full part will juggle between retro and modern graphics. The gameplay and the menu will also be revisited.
