A man took a 2-year-old girl on his shoulders from a playground on Sunday. The child’s mom didn’t see it happen, but luckily another mom did spot the potential kidnapping.
Last Sunday, a German mother and her 2-year-old daughter went to a playground in Boxhagener Platz, in the east of Berlin. While her child was playing, she talked to another woman. Suddenly, an unknown man approached her daughter, put her on his shoulders and walked away. An alert woman thought that was strange and followed the man, but she could not overtake him.

The witness raised the alarm with a kiosk worker named Zoran. The 44-year-old man ran after the man and caught up with him. Meanwhile, another witness filmed the confrontation. “I asked him if it was his child,” Zoran explains to BILD. “No, I love children. I don’t understand that parents leave their children at home with babysitters, ”replies the unknown man.
Zoran convinces the man to take her back to the playground. While they walk back together, Zoran asks him why he took the baby. “I simply think children are extremely important. They are the future, right? ”He responds.
When they arrive at the park, the unknown man asks the girl, “Is your mom here in the park? Then we go there. Where’s your mama? Do you see her somewhere? ”It sounds.
Shocked mother
Eventually they find the mother of the baby. She was shocked, but remarkably calm. “The man put the baby in the mother’s arms. She was probably so shocked that she was normal to him, ”Zoran explains.
The unknown man was taken for questioning by the police, but was allowed to use it again afterwards. The police suspect that the man is mentally ill and had no intention of harming the child.
