Aldi offers e-scooters with street approval for 199 euros – quick check offer

The food discounter Aldi currently offers an electric scooter with street approval at a ridiculously low price: the foldable speedster costs just under 200 euros – models with street registration are usually significantly more expensive.

As of today, Aldi Nord is offering an electric speedster online and in its stores. Up to 20 kilometers per hour fast, 11.5 kilograms in weight and a range of up to twelve kilometers: the basic data of the Maginon Street One e-scooter is similar to that of numerous other e-scooter offers that can be found online. However, the others usually cost at least 100 euros more – and in many cases, however, do not have a street license for Germany.

With the Maginon Street One you can also officially take part in road traffic in this country. A driver’s license is not necessary for this, the minimum age is 14 years. In addition, an insurance sticker is compulsory, it costs around 20 to 60 euros per year.

Framework data for the price in order

The technical framework reads quite reasonable for the price: the scooter can reach a maximum speed of 20 kilometers per hour, such scooters are not allowed to drive faster in Germany anyway. The built-in battery has a capacity of 4,400 milliamp hours, which should be enough for a distance of up to twelve kilometers or a journey of up to 50 minutes.

The battery then charges three to four hours according to the data sheet until it is full again. Aldi mentions one restriction: The maximum load is 100 kilograms.

Good offer to try

Aldi’s offer on paper is in any case a cheap e-scooter for beginners. At a price of just under 200 euros, it should be a very good offer for anyone who wants to try e-scooters without having to invest too much money.

Interested parties should hurry though: the e-scooter was already sold out this morning in the online shop. When asked by t-online.de, Aldi confirmed that the scooters were also delivered to the Aldi Nord stores, but they are likely to sell out quickly.
