Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Al-Nasr Saudi Club announced, on Tuesday, the postponement of its preparatory camp in China, during which the “Al-Alamy” team was scheduled to play two friendly matches, against the Shanghai Shenhua and Zhejiang teams.
Al-Nasr Club said that the reason for canceling the two matches was due to “bad luck,” in addition to reasons “beyond the team’s control,” with a later date being set for the camp.
The Saudi club said in an official statement: “We came here in Shenzhen with a lot of respect for Chinese football fans, specifically for the fans of Al-Nasr Club and its captain, Cristiano Ronaldo.”
He continued, saying: “With this in mind, in addition to the close relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China, we at Al-Nasr are ready to complete our training camp as planned in Shenzhen, the city that welcomed us warmly and showed a lot of love to us and our team captain.”
The club continued: “Moreover, we agreed with the organizers to schedule a new match as soon as possible. Al-Nasr Club has always shown its unconditional commitment to this tournament and the entire team, including Cristiano Ronaldo, traveled to participate in this round, and we confirm our great appreciation and love for our fans.” “In China, we look forward to playing against them as soon as possible.”
The Al-Alamy team’s delegation received a warm reception upon its arrival in Chinese territory last Saturday, as a large number of fans were present at the airport to meet Ronaldo and his companions.
