The Beirut Governorate Council of the Independent Nasserite Movement, Al-Mourabitoun, issued the following statement:
Some parties with suspicious political and security affiliations are leaking misleading information about the Egyptian Field Hospital through social media sites.
The Beirut Governorate Council in Al-Mourabitoun is interested in emphasizing that the Egyptian Field Hospital provides humanitarian health services to the poor and needy people of Beirut, without any compensation, and has become an advanced medical landmark, visited by thousands of patients.
The targeting of this medical edifice, by some motorists, falls within the framework of covering up the deteriorating health situation and the greed for medical centres, which have become impossible for those in need to enter.
The Al-Mourabitoun Governorate Council extends its highest thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and all the workers of our Egyptian brothers who are keen on providing medical services, with a high degree of medical and humanitarian attention to all its visitors. It also extends its thanks to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its embassy in Lebanon, for continuing to provide health support to the people of Beirut.
