The Al Marmoom Ultra Marathon, the longest marathon in the Dubai desert, will take place on March 5. Preparations have begun and registration is open, officials said. The marathon will be held in three different categories: 50 km, 10. km and 5 km in the Al Marmoom protected desert. Organized by the Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with the Dubai Municipality and Fit Group. All participants will receive prizes and medals. In addition, special trophies will be presented to the winners.
Special winners will be selected for women and men. Al Marmoom is fascinating as a marathon that covers different terrains. The sanctuary is home to 204 species of native birds and 158 species of migratory birds. Hundreds of people take part in the marathon.
