Ajax supporters are wondering en masse about the status of Sivert Mannsverk’s rehabilitation. The Norwegian midfielder has been injured since September and did not travel to Spain with the Amsterdam team for the training camp in Cádiz.
Mannsverk played his only and last match for Ajax on September 17. The midfielder was allowed to participate for 45 minutes against FC Twente and performed very poorly in that match. He has been absent since then due to injury. Ajax reported at the time that the Norwegian defensive midfielder would be sidelined for at least six weeks, but Mannsverk has now had to miss the entire first half of the season/
Ajax announced on Tuesday which players had traveled to Spain, stating that Mannsverk would stay at home. Supporters do not understand why the midfielder has been sidelined for so long: ‘Where has he gone? Where is he?”, writes a supporter. Another Ajax player believes that Ajax should take a look at the deployment of the medical staff: “Players here are almost always injured for longer than should be necessary,” writes the fan of the Amsterdammers.”
