FC Twente expect ‘about six’ new players next season. One of which is Kik Pierie. Technical director Jan Streuer reveals in conversation with TC Tubantia that a new rental deal has been concluded with Ajax.
Pierie will therefore also play in the Grolsch Veste next year. The defender is no longer discussed at Ajax. “Although I think that Kik Pierie can also do better, we have every confidence in him. He will remain certain, that has come to an end with Ajax”, Streuer says.
But more is about to happen for Twente. As said, Streuer expects ‘about six’ new players. He doesn’t want to have more than 27 players in his squad. “We are still talking to Pleguezuelo. He is in a difficult situation due to his injury. Should he leave, we will need two more central defenders.”
