Polsat News was the first to inform about the accident of a small aircraft in Bemowo in Warsaw. The report in an interview with Fakt24 was confirmed by the duty officer from the press team of the City Headquarters of the State Fire Service Warsaw.
– The plane taking off from Bemowa airport crashed shortly after take-off and fell into the forest – said Junior Captain Michał Skrzypa. The accident occurred around 12.30. Because the machine fell into a wooded area, the services initially had a problem locating the wreck.
From the preliminary information provided by the services, it appeared that four people were injured in the case of the aircraft. However, two went to the hospital. One of the accident sites was taken by the LPR helicopter. According to unofficial information, the person probably suffered a spinal injury and another injured his arm. Other victims were provided with on-site assistance.
Anna Smereka, spokeswoman for the “Meditrans” Voivodship Emergency and Sanitary Transport Station, said in an interview with PAP that three medical rescue teams took part. The State Commission on Aircraft Accident Investigation will investigate the circumstances and causes.
In a later conversation with PAP, Michał Skrzypa from the Warsaw fire brigade said that the machine had cut down several trees, and “when it was found it was on the chassis, in its standard position.” The aircraft has damaged wings and the fuselage.
