JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – ex Governor DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP) alias Ahok appeared in live broadcast on Instagram account @kickandyshow hosted by host Andy F Noya on Saturday (27/6/2020) last night.
Ahok answered questions posed by Andy and questions from the audience of the event that Andy read out loudly. He for example did not hesitate to mention how much his salary as the main commissioner of PT Pertamina.
The questions raised cover a variety of things, including how Ahok’s assessment of the current condition of Jakarta, about his current work as President Commissioner Pertamina, and about his newborn child.
Get a big salary but …
Ahok mentioned, his salary as President Commissioner Pertamina is far greater than his salary as the Governor of DKI Jakarta. As governor, he gets a salary of Rp. 7 million and various tunjungan worth Rp. 30 million.
As Pertamina’s chief commissioner, he gets a salary of Rp. 170 million per month.
“If it’s a salary, it’s a commissioner’s salary. It’s far (compared to being a governor). In Pertamina we can get Rp 170 million in salary,” he said in the broadcast.
However, Ahok claimed that it would be better to become a governor or regional head if the size was related to influence and authority.
According to him, the advantage of being a governor is none other than being able to help many people.
“So the governor is better because he can help the people,” Ahok said.
He said, when he became governor he had an operational fund of Rp 3 billion which he could share with the poor directly into their respective accounts.
Assistance is prioritized to solve the problem of diplomas held by the school due to arrears in payment.
He said the governor’s operational funds could even increase to Rp4 billion if he did not have a deputy governor.
“I have an operational fund of Rp 3 billion, directly divided into poor people into their respective accounts. If without the governor, it could be Rp 4 billion,” he said.
He said that in the past, he used a lot of operational funds to help the citizens of DKI.
“We can help anything for people who need it, especially the diploma concerned, want to buy drugs not borne by BPJS, every morning we give them, we will open them later through Bank DKI,” Ahok said.
When he was Pertamina’s chief commissioner, there were no such operational funds.
Still in the program, Ahok commented on the revitalization of the National Monument (Monas) which was controversial some time ago because there were felling dozens of trees.
It’s a compliment Monas revitalization conducted by Governor Anies Baswedan.
The audience of the program, through Andy F Noya, initially asked Ahok if he was disappointed with Jakarta’s current condition.
Ahok said, people must be able to see from the right perspective. Personally he has no disappointment.

“Just ask Jakarta people. If I feel better now, my salary is bigger hehe …” Ahok answered.
He then mentioned the matter of Monas revitalization.
“His work is also good too, the Monas is also good so the ceremony is also good, it was hidden, now he faces directly, it looks good too. The idea of tree tripe for the ceremony is also good,” he continued.
Ahok’s last sentence made Andy Noya ask further questions.

Ahok explained, what Anies would do would be like the White House in Washington DC, USA.
