Ahok reported the alleged defamation of the Metro Jaya Regional Police.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – President Commissioner of PT Pertamina, Basuki Tjahja Purnama, through his lawyer reported a case of alleged defamation that had befallen him to the Metro Jaya Regional Police. The man who is familiarly called Ahok reported defamation he received on social media (Social Media).
The report was then received by the Metro Jaya Regional Police Special Crimes Directorate. The report is registered with the police number LP / 2885 / V / YAN 25/2020 / SPKT PMJ / Date: May 17, 2020.
“Defamation in the social media, that’s all. In principle, the BTP gave me power to make a police report on May 17,” Ahok’s attorney, Ahmad Ramzy, when contacted on Thursday (30/7).
Ramzy said that the case reported in the report was about defamation of Ahok through social media. However, he was reluctant to explain in detail the chronology of the case. He said, his party would first await the release of the Jakarta Police regarding the case investigation.
“Let the Polda be released first. The matter of the perpetrators will be the Polda who will first say yes,” he said.
